Ohio Valley Goodwill’s Industrial Services Division has served businesses in Cincinnati, Northern Kentucky, and Southeast Indiana for more than 100 years, helping them reduce costs and achieve greater results with our outsourcing services. Our expertise providing custom packaging, kitting, assembly, and fulfillment services has led to a number of long-term partnerships with local companies, helping them save time and focus on the core aspects of their business. But don’t just take our word for it – hear what some of our satisfied partners have to say about outsourcing services from Ohio Valley Goodwill Industries.
Performance Plastics is a plastic injection molder located in Cincinnati, Ohio serving the medical, energy, aerospace and defense, industrial, electronics, and food and beverage industries. When looking for a service to handle the secondary operations for their parts, Performance Plastics looked to our Industrial Services Division. In addition to projects such as sorting, trimming, sanding, and assembly, Performance Plastics also relied on Goodwill to pick up and deliver the parts in a timely manner.
Performance Plastics and Goodwill worked together for more than ten years. Peggy Delany, the controller at Performance Plastics, notes that Goodwill’s flexibility and experience labor force has helped the company’s employees free up more time to concentrate on the core business.
“Goodwill has been a very reliable source to turn to when we needed additional labor to complete our time sensitive projects. They are flexible in working on several projects at the same time for us, or by having many people work on one project to get it turned around in a hurry. We have benefited from using Goodwill by decreasing our labor expenses and allowing our employees to focus more on our core business,” said Delany.
J&M Marketing represents a diverse group of food manufacturers in the Cincinnati area seeking to expand distribution of their products into grocery and big-box stores such as Costco and Sam’s Club. However, this process requires a different style of industrial packaging than traditional grocery stores use.
Instead of packaging individual items separately, multiple units needed to be shrink-wrapped together and be easily shipped and dropped right off the pallet inside the store’s warehouse.
To meet this need, Steve Byrnes, President of J&M Marketing, began looking for a contract packager in the Cincinnati area.
“I talked to (Goodwill),” Byrnes said, “We looked at them, as to what they could do, compared their services and costs to other people and the market, and they were cost-competitive. They’ve done a nice job, so we’ve been with them quite a while.”
Byrnes believes other business owners can benefit from Goodwill’s services “because of the thoroughness of the way they approach things, the attention to detail,” he said. “Todd, our business manager, is on top of things from start to finish. They just do a very good job from A to Z.”

“Goodwill has been a very reliable source to turn to when we needed additional labor to produce quality products for our customers,” said A.G. Lockhard, controller at Fluid Conservation Systems.
Lockhard also noted that Goodwill has helped his company reduce labor costs and free up more time for employees to concentrate on primary business activities.
